Fitting in

My thoughts this week have been around "Fitting in",which were sparked off by my teenage daughter.
Not fitting in is good , swimming against the norm, creating something new, not copying what everybody else does, but thinking for oneself, listening to that inner voice and unfolding ideas which are drawn from deep within.

Obviously being part of the fashion business one stumbles across the opposite all too many times….
But there are a few which are true and inspirational, where quality wins over quantity, garments beautifully finished and unique.

My two absolute favourites are

Autumn in the air

One day in early autumn the great mother looked down at the children playing in the sun and decided to create something new and beautiful while there was still colour everywhere...

In love with this image the colours are divine, laying on a blanket of flowers, hope your blankets are at hand as the nights are getting cold and the time to retreat and be homely is on the menu.
