Fitting in

My thoughts this week have been around "Fitting in",which were sparked off by my teenage daughter.
Not fitting in is good , swimming against the norm, creating something new, not copying what everybody else does, but thinking for oneself, listening to that inner voice and unfolding ideas which are drawn from deep within.

Obviously being part of the fashion business one stumbles across the opposite all too many times….
But there are a few which are true and inspirational, where quality wins over quantity, garments beautifully finished and unique.

My two absolute favourites are

I saw her with different eyes. The beauty in how she carries her age ….

Autumn in the air

One day in early autumn the great mother looked down at the children playing in the sun and decided to create something new and beautiful while there was still colour everywhere...

In love with this image the colours are divine, laying on a blanket of flowers, hope your blankets are at hand as the nights are getting cold and the time to retreat and be homely is on the menu.

We had a wonderful Summer gathering lots of inspiration for our new Collection AW14.
Our AW13 Collection is available through our listed stockists as we will no longer be selling through our web-shop.

Nixie Sales

We will take part in the Junior Style Sale on Saturday the 20th 0f July at St.Stephens Church Hall , 17 Canonbury Road, Islington N1 2DF.
Lots of lovely Nixie summer stock for massively reduced prices .

We are also on the Kings Road under Jake&Maya as part of the Collaboration we did on several designs where ten small businesses have taken over a retail space in Chelsea for 2-weeks from July 18 to 31.

Summer

Paris Playtime was great this  season and all the hard work is paying off.
We are busy booking couriers, filling out forms, finishing orders to wind down for the next 6 weeks and enjoy our children and the summer in our new Belle Tent !!!!
From September we will have a fantastic new website, but will not have an online store any more, so our Collections will only be available through our stockists.
I have also been working on a collaboration with Felicity Lynch "Chalk and Wild "a magazine aimed for the teen years. An inspiring project for lots of creativity to unfold and a platform to portray different visions.
